Memory Foam Bed Toppers

These 3" bed toppers are made of 5.5 lb. density temperature and pressure sensitive viscoelastic foam, developed by NASA. Some of the features include: stabilizing high-resolution, patented foam wedges; dynamic polyester foam substrate layer; high-resolution foam layer; micro-cell, viscoelastic memory layer; and specially treated anti-mite, anti-fungal muslin barrier.  A washable, hypoallergenic cover is included.

Sometimes patients ask Dr. Hume if she recommends mattresses made of this memory foam material.  She does not.  Memory foam is sensitive to temperature and is not stable enough for the higher temperatures of summer, especially in California and other warm climates.  Therefore, they are not supportive enough to be used alone.  However, as pillows and bed toppers they're extremely comfortable!
