Leg Pain / Sciatica

Three common sources of leg pain are:

  • Biomechanical problems in the pelvis.  This pain will typically not go below the knee.  Adjustments are the best treatment for this condition.  Exercises are helpful for preventing reoccurrence.
  • Tightness in the buttock muscles. Muscle work, adjustments, exercises and ergonomic correction is the preferred treatment.  Nutritional changes may also be helpful.
  • A Disc Herniation or Disc Bulge will typically cause thigh and lower leg pain, often with numbness and tingling and even weakness.  This type of leg pain is called "sciatica." Treatment recommended by Dr. Hume is usually very effective.
