Ultrasound
Ultrasound is the application of high frequency sound waves for
the therapeutic treatment of soft tissue injuries. While some
patients report feeling a pleasant, relaxing sensation, most
patients feel nothing during the treatment.
Ultrasound is effective in decreasing muscle spasm, increasing
healing in damaged tissue, organizing the healing tissue, reducing
nerve root irritation, and improving blood flow. Ultrasound
is effective for healing in the early stages of an injury.
